Frasassi Caves
The Frasassi Caves (Grotte di Frasassi) offer a journey into the heart of the earth among millenary stalactites and stalagmites. The standard tourist itinerary stretches for about 1.5 km and lasts roughly 75 minutes, always accompanied by professional guides. The internal temperature remains constant year-round at around 14°C (57°F), so we recommend bringing a sweatshirt and comfortable shoes.

Temple of Valadier
Just a short distance from the caves lies the famous Temple of Valadier, also known as the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Frasassi. It is a striking 19th-century octagonal church built entirely of travertine blocks and set directly inside a cave entrance.
To reach it, you walk along an uphill paved road about 700 meters long. The walk takes about 15–20 minutes, and once at the top, you are rewarded with an extraordinary view and an atmosphere of total silence.
